My name is Alex Pieri, I run an all-encompassing property development company based in London and the South East of England. I am passionate about property and endeavour to favour long term relationships over short term gains. This is what I live by and it is reflective in my business activities. Over the last few years, the team have delivered over £1 million worth of joint venture developments and construction projects. We aim to continue this momentum and be a force in the industry.
My Story
Choosing a career in construction felt like a natural path for me. From a young age, I've been captivated by the intricate process of taking dilapidated, unloved buildings, and seeing how they can be transformed into functional, awe inspiring spaces. Navigating all of the moving parts involved in the process was fascinating. I did not understand any of it at that point, but I knew that one day I would.
Fond memories of seeing family & friends buying old houses, then seeing the end result further fuelled my passion. This early fascination motivated me to pursue a degree in building surveying, kickstarting my journey to understand the pathology of buildings with the goal to one day do it myself.
As my career progressed, I discovered my talent for engaging with clients and stakeholders, this prompted my transition into project management. I also felt that it was absolutely necessary to learn the entire building process. This experience taught me the importance of considering time, cost and quality on large scale construction sites, later helping in the redevelopment of my own privately funded property projects.
At AP Property Portfolios, we understand that successful project outcomes hinge on collaboration. We endeavour to work closely with our build team, giving our investors and stakeholders the confidence to know that they will be looked after from start to finish, overcoming obstacles along the way.
A saying, as David Schwartz wisely said, "Action Cures Fear. Indecision, postponement, on the other hand, fertilize fear." This ethos resonates deeply with my approach to running AP Property and my own personal endeavours.
